Good news from Renewal by Andersen® of Phoenix! Our parent company was lauded yet again for their unmatchable commitment to the environment. Last July, Minnesota-based nonprofit Environmental Initiative chose Andersen Corporation as Member of the Month. Given our track record, it’s not hard to see why.
Renewal by Andersen has been a part of Environmental Initiative for nearly 20 years. It supports the organization’s programs to accelerate regional collaborative efforts on sustainability. It was also the first window company to sign the Ceres Climate Declaration in 2014. Along with the leading names in manufacturing, Andersen has pledged to cut down solid waste production as well as energy and water use by 20% come 2020.
Because we share Andersen Corporation’s green philosophy, we have made it our goal to provide you with environment-friendly windows in Phoenix. Here’s what you stand to gain from our sustainable products and practices:
We only carry and install energy-efficient products.
Our windows feature Fibrex®, a composite framing material that has the thermal properties of wood. It doesn’t expand or contract even when exposed to extreme temperatures. It helps keep heat where it’s needed—out during summer and in during winter. Coupled with any of our High-Performance™ glass packages, it can help reduce your heating and cooling costs by a significant amount.
We help you solve indoor air quality concerns.
Andersen Corporation and its replacement window subsidiaries (that’s us!) are the only window companies to have received the Indoor Advantage Gold™ certification from the Scientific Certification Systems (SCS). That means that unlike other building materials, our windows won’t be emitting hazardous chemicals, toxins, and other volatile substances years after installation. In fact, when you install our windows, you can be sure that fresh, clean air is all you’re breathing in.
We use green materials in building our windows.
Renewal by Andersen believes in environmentally responsible manufacturing. A Fibrex-frame double-hung, casement, sliding, or bay window in Tempe, AZ, for example, contains up to 40% reclaimed wood fiber by weight. Even our glass options contain at least 12% reclaimed materials. Thanks to this, we can lessen our industrial byproducts significantly.
Renewal by Andersen of Phoenix is honored to be part of Andersen’s 100 years of quality service and unwavering environmental commitment. You can be part of this green tradition too when you let us install your replacement windows and doors. Contact us at (602) 772-5059 to learn more.
